IDD LumbAr Decompression

What is IDD therapy?

IDD Therapy stands for Internal Disc Decompression Therapy, a non-surgical medical protocol for the effective treatment of painful back syndromes. Developed by a broad spectrum of specialists in the field, the treatment method has evolved into a comprehensive disc therapy approach, capable of reducing a herniation with up to 90% success rates.

How does IDD therapy work?

IDD Therapy is performed on a patented decompression table. The procedure is a multi-stage process that decreases pressure inside the disc and promotes self-healing by increasing the water content and reducing pressure within the disc. As the pressure in the discs is decreased, bulging disc material retracts and damaged structures in the spine can heal and rehabilitate.

What does IDD help treat?

IDD Therapy is an innovative approach for the relief of lower back syndromes, including herniated or bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, sciatica and acute or chronic back pain.

If I use IDD therapy, when will I start feeling better?

Many patients start feeling improvement by the second week.

Are there any side effects to the treatments?

Most patients do not experience any adverse side effects. Occasionally, especially at the beginning of the treatment program, a few people experience brief muscle spasms.
