Sports injuries

What are sports injuries and how are they treated?

Sports injuries are common, but can be debilitating. Pain ranges from annoying to excruciating, depending on the location and extent of the damage. Whether the injury is acute or chronic, it can be managed and treated so that the athlete can improve mobility and strength and return to activity as soon as possible. Treatment options include corticosteroid injections, NSAIDs, heat therapy, and physical therapy.
